Hunter and I had a nice long break from daycare and work (Kerry wasn't as fortunate) so we were able to not only get a lot of needed chores done around the house but play a lot as well. Christmas Eve Kerry and Hunter took a shot at making his mother's recipe for Finnish pulla bread. Although we used yeast I had in the cupboard that said best used by 1999, we let it rise for a couple days and still was very tasty, probably better with fresh yeast!
We went to church that night and as usual Hunter clapped after each song was over. He was very well behaved for the most part. We came home and opened his new Christmas pjs that his Elf left for him.
Patty told Kerry about something she sent her students home with to get them ready for Santa's visit so we tried it and Hunter thought it was really cool, we sprinkled glitter outside and then turned the light on, if the glitter sparkled Santa would come. We left carrots, cookies and milk for Santa and then went right to bed. Then came the new tradition for us of assembling his toys before our bedtime!
After opening gifts at home, we packed up the car and went to Gigi and Papa's for brunch and more present opening, boy did this kid get spoiled!
We had a great day and can't wait to see Santa again next year.
