Side by Side by Side

I was only able to find the 6 month pictures for each electronically but here are the three boys at 6 months.  I think Hunter and Connor look most similar (but maybe its just the hair.)

Connor

7 months old

Connor is 7 months old!  Some new developments this month:
  • He has 1 tooth and is cutting the second
  • He is eating a wider variety of foods and really seems to like anything we try.
  • He is drinking water from a sippy cup and gets really excited when he sees me drinking from a cup and wants to drink from it too.
  • He is getting up on his knees so you know what's next, crawling!  The boys are not ready for Connor to be crawling, there are too many legos around and they are constantly leaving the basement door open.
  • Raspberry are still the first thing he wakes up doing in the morning.
  • Sleep - no progress has been made......
  • Finally, he is really hard to hold.  He is a super squirmy baby and is intent on seeing all angles at all times.  This means that he is pretty much rotating in circles the entire time you are holding him.
My pre-crawler
We just LOVE this baby, I want him to stay my baby forever, but he is growing up so fast.

Luke is 5

Luke is a happy, energetic, smart kid who loves his brothers, playing outside, legos and anything super hero.  He is doing great in pre-K this year and is incredibly conscientious about his school work and the homework he gets on the weekends.  He is the one to remember it needs to be done and always asks me if I have it to bring on Monday morning.  He has made friends with his new classmates but still refers to his friends from his Arlington school as his best friends - Artimus, Colby, Lev and Efron.

He really has gotten into legos in the last few months and has an incredible attention span to put the models together.  Most evenings when he is sent up to bed, you can find him building in his room.  He also stopped wearing pull ups to bed a few months prior to his birthday, something that couldn't come soon enough.

At his 5 year old check up he was 3ft 7 inches tall and weighed 40.1lbs.  Luke wants to do anything Hunter is doing and because of that is really good at most sports he tries.  We are holding back on signing him up for additional sports though. We tried a rec center soccer class in the fall, but it was just skills training with no competitive games and he didn't enjoy that, he wants to play games just like Hunter.

He is really close to reading, is able to spell most 3 letter words and really loves math.  He can do pretty complex addition and subtraction in his head (15+3-6) and loves to be quizzed while we are driving or at the dinner table.

Luke is really looking forward to our summer vacation, where we get to see all our McKay relatives and starting kindergarten in the fall.
