Time is flying by this time. I can't believe Connor is 5 months old. He is doing so many new things lately I hope I remember to capture all of them.
- He found his feet this month. Every time his feet are exposed (not often in the winter) he grabs them and plays with them.
- He has many new sounds, bababa is his favorite.
- He can blow raspberries now and is very juicy these days, is teething on the horizon?
- He is super ticklish and belly laughs when you touch his stomach.
- He is gaining strength in his back and can sit up with assistance from the boppy.
- Rolls from back to front and has occasionally rolled front to back, but this may just be an accident....it's not consistent.
- Had his first visit to the doctor on Saturday, a temp of about 100 and was really irritable so we wanted to check out those ears. All clear so far, just a virus. While there he weighed in at 15lbs 8oz.
- While he would use the pacifier at night a month or so ago, he hasn't used it since, still can't decide if that's a good or bad thing. They do soothe a crying baby instantly in the middle of the night, but you have to constantly get up to put it back in their mouth when they lose it.......
- Which brings me to sleep, or lack there of! My mom says I am too good a mother, which isn't a complement when it comes out that way. It means that I react too quickly to every cry. I thought I was doing a better job of that with this one, but obviously not, Connor is still waking every 2-3 hours at night and needs to be either nursed or held to get back to sleep.
I was going to try solids this weekend, but he ended up sick so I will postpone for next weekend when he is hopefully healthy. He is definitely ready, he is eyeing our food and reaching for our forks and plates at meal time.
He is super interactive, stares at your face and smiles easily at you. He loves his brothers, they can make him laugh best of all.
